Green School Seminar
Within the scope of the transdisciplinary theme of Sharing the Planet and the main idea of “Resources owned by countries affect the social order and relations between countries”, NUN Primary School students questioned our responsibilities individually and as a country in the use and sharing of resources. In order to deepen the inquiries on this subject, it was aimed to get to know more closely what Beykoz Municipality did within the scope of the Green School Project and to inform the students about the studies carried out on this subject. For this, the project manager was invited to NUN Schools. The project manager held a seminar on environmental awareness, environmental management, use of resources and waste management with NUN Primary School students. Later, they experienced the composting process step by step by throwing the food waste they had accumulated into the compost machine in NUN Schools. Through this program, students developed different perspectives on what kind of responsibility they have for the use of resources.
