International Mathematics Contest - University of Waterloo
The high school students in grades 9 and 10 of our school participated in the International Mathematics Contest, annually organized University of Waterloo, Canada. The exam was held at all levels, including preparatory classes. Preparatory classes could participate in the Gauss exam, 9th graders in the Pascal exam, 10th graders in the Cayley exam, and 11th graders in the Fermat exam, which our school participated in the Pascal and Cayley exams. Internationally applied contests allow our students to see their level of mathematical thinking skills both nationally and internationally and to gain experience in this sense. At the end of the competitions, our students receive medals and certificates of achievement according to their success. In addition, these achievements also make an important contribution to our students’ portfolios. By having the opportunity to measure and develop their success in mathematics with these competitions, our students increase their self-confidence and take a step towards their future successes.
