Potluck and “Cultural Adaptation” Seminar with Vahdet Görmez
It is very important to be together to consolidate our common ideas that bring us together and to establish closer relations with each other.
We know how valuable it is to be a part of this special community from different cultures to develop a common ummah consciousness while exploring our cultural riches.
We are coming together at the Intercultural Parent Meetings in order to strengthen the unity between us and to encourage tolerance by coming together different cultures.
At our gathering, each of our guests brought a dish representing their own culture or a favourite delicacy they wanted other to try. All families shared them with other participants in a potluck style. Families shared their dishes in a potluck style, providing parents with an opportunity to taste the flavors of different cultures and engage with each other. Following the meal, participants attended a seminar led by Vahdet Görmez about identity formation. The seminar provided a valuable opportunity for parents to explore how their identity is shaped, and discuss the importance of cultural identity in depth.
