WE BECOME A MEMBER SCHOOL OF THE COUNCIL OF INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS (CIS)!

WE BECOME A MEMBER SCHOOL OF THE COUNCIL OF INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS (CIS)!

As NUN Schools, we share the happiness of becoming a "member school" by successfully passing the Council of International Schools (CIS) evaluation process, which we started this year to encourage global awareness and intercultural understanding that is included in our educational philosophy.
Founded in 1965, the largest non-profit membership association for international schools, the CIS includes more than 1,360 schools and universities representing 123 countries.
Membership is a result of the compliance with the CIS Code of Ethics and Principles, our leadership in international education, the sharing of knowledge, the adoption of different perspectives and the effort to constantly improve ourselves.
In the coming months, we look forward to complete our CIS accreditation and continue to work.

What is the Purpose of the CIS?

  • To ensure that the school seeks excellence at all stages of education,
  • To ensure that the school offers a high quality education and training program in line with clearly defined goals/standards,
  • To ensure that the entire school community is aware of its strengths and weaknesses and perfects them in continuous development,
  • To allow the school to compare itself with similar schools in the world and to test itself in a global environment.

What are the Benefits to the Institution and the Students?

  • The inclusion of a school in CIS sends a very positive message about that school to people, educational institutions and universities at home and abroad,
  • The self-evaluation report, which is meticulously prepared in accordance with the accreditation process, makes a very important contribution to the development of the school,
  • The accreditation process strengthens the harmony and communication between the various departments of the school,
  • This objective assessment by an authority outside the school generates many useful and constructive suggestions,
  • The accreditation process provides an opportunity for the school to communicate with other schools around the world,
  • The school can prepare future plans as a result of the reports submitted by ECIS to the school after the self-assessment study and examination visits, which are part of the accreditation process,
  • All aspects of the school are adapted to high standards,
  • Information about all aspects of the school is recorded in the computer environment,
  • Members of the school community recognize their shortcomings and weaknesses and make a continuous effort to correct them,
  • Everyone in the institution questions and evaluates himself and the institution.
