OKRA HARVEST IN YALOVA WITHIN THE SCOPE OF TUBITAK PROJECT

OKRA HARVEST IN YALOVA WITHIN THE SCOPE OF TUBITAK PROJECT

NUN High School 10th grade students and our geography teacher participated in the okra harvest in Yalova as part of the TUBITAK project. Okra stems and branches, which can be used in the textile and paper industry due to their fibrous structure, were procured from a supplier in Yalova. Students brought the okra stem, necessary for the project, which we plan to report by testing the usability of okra mucilage and its fibers as an organic component in paper production. They continue their studies on the project.
