Trip to the Glass Furnace with a Theme Connection

Our kindergarten students visited the Glass Furnace Foundation as part of the inquiries they conducted within the scope of the “How We Organize Ourselves” unit.
They observed the work and methods of glass masters, how glass is shaped, and what roles they play in this process with real-life applications. During their visit, they had the opportunity to interact with glass masters, ask questions, and exchange information. After the visit, a workshop was conducted for our students, where they designed their own glass plates and boards. Thanks to this activity, the students developed their creative thinking skills based on their observations and had the opportunity to express themselves through handicrafts. They also gained awareness of social functioning and the importance of different roles inside a community.
