CLASSROOM PICNIC

In the English lesson, a "Teddy Bear's Picnic" activity was held in connection with the inquiry unit "The Ways of Expressing Ourselves" for our first grade students. For the activity, students enjoyed bringing their teddy toys to school and explaining their features to their friends with correct sentence structures. They formed the following example sentences: "it is a panda, it is old, and my mother gave it to me.” Thanks to this activity, our students had the opportunity to play with their toys, at the same time they improved their English speaking and presentation skills and had a lot of fun while developing these skills. In addition, students used their communication skills by asking questions about their toys. During the picnic, the classroom community, which included participation and cooperation, sharing, respect and understanding among students, reflected our behavior.
