PERA MUSEUM TOUR

NUN Middle School 6th grade students visited Pera Museum as part of the "I Learn Art Movements" unit.      They visited the "Osman Hamdi Bey" and "Intersecting Worlds: Ambassadors and Painters" exhibitions in the museum, in which there are artifacts from the Ottoman period, and they gained the acquisition of analyzing the work of art according to the period and conditions in which it was made. 

The Pera Museum tour started with the works of Osman Hamdi Bey, who was an Ottoman intellectual raised during the Tanzimat Period and contributed to different areas of cultural and artistic life such as painting, archeology, museology, and art education. Osman Hamdi Bey's famous work "The Tortoise Trainer" was examined. 

 Continuing with the "Intersecting Worlds: Ambassadors and Painters" collection exhibition, interesting personalities in the history of diplomacy were introduced under the guidance of art.  

The Anatolian Weights and Measures, involving the main weights and measures used in Anatolia from 2000 BC to the present, and the Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics Collection, including important examples of the tile and ceramic art that developed in Kütahya from the 18th century to the 20th century are examined.
