NUNef, Clımate Change Summıt
NUNef is an educational forum established by the curious and inquiring students of the NUN high school to put forward different points of view on the issues that set the agenda and to create awareness among the participants. As a result of the studies which requires great effort and diligence, this year's education summit with the theme of ‘Climate Change’ was held on May 20, 2023.
NUNef has taken an important step towards realizing its vision of contributing to the development of young minds, supporting research and analytical thinking skills and raising awareness of young people by addressing important social issues at this summit.
The opening speech of the summit was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Karaca. Academicians who are experts in their field came together with our high school students from various districts of Istanbul at the NUN Education Forum. At the summit, various committees were established and the topic of ’Climate Change' was discussed in different fields of expertise such as education, science, psychology, international relations, cinema, technology, history and economics. NUN Education Forum presented different perspectives to the participants by reflecting on the principle of diversity and inclusiveness by addressing the issue regarding different disciplines. The climate change summit will lead to raising the awareness of young people, preparing them for the future and enabling them to take important steps for a sustainable world.
