NUN ART DAYS

NUN ART DAYS

Art Days organized in NUN Schools are the days when the works of students in different disciplines are exhibited at all levels of the school, including primary, middle and high school.

Although NUN Schools see art as a language of communication, it believes that it is a very important formation in the individual development of students. In workshops we organize with experts from different branches of art, our students are rewarded for their efforts and work by exhibiting the works they have produced in the branches they choose, both in personal exhibitions and in our art days.

Fatıma Zehra, one of our NUN Primary School students, designed various items such as necklace, earrings, bookends, badges and key chains using beads. She told her friends how she made these products in the area where she exhibited the products she designed. Then she gave gifts to her friends and teachers from the products she made.

Our middle school students also exhibited their works. In the exhibition, the works created by our students by experiencing different materials and techniques took their places on the boards. Many works such as 2 and 3 dimensional works of art clubs, carpet motifs, Mexican and African figures, Turkish motifs, art movements such as minimalism and cubism, shirt design belonging to Mexican culture took place. After visiting the exhibition, students interacted with various performance areas prepared for them and took part in workshops. They participated with interest in the Art Day, which was prepared with an interactive museum planning.

One of our students, Ömer Faruk, exhibited his origami works, which he became interested in and started to make when he was in kindergarten, in the stand reserved for him in our exhibition area.

With the participation of our high school students, the spring festival and art day organization were held. An exhibition area was established throughout the year, where our students' works in the fields of art and culture are exhibited and works of art are made in various performance areas. Students happily participated in activities such as tug-of-war, sack race, carrying ping-pong balls, badminton, charades, coordination circle and table tennis and toured the exhibition area. In addition to the paintings reflecting the Surrealism art movement, works prepared with various techniques also took their place in the field. Preparatory class students got to know the Cubism and Abstract Art movement, and they made their original work inspired by the guitar collage of Pablo Picasso, the pioneer of the Cubism movement.
