NÛN Meetings - Yesterday and Today of the Waqf Culture
The guest of our NÛN Meetings this month, on the occasion of Foundation Week, was Darulaceze Chairman, Mr. Hamza Cebeci. Getting together with our students, Cebeci shared his experiences about how we should carry the banner for Waqf (Foundation) Culture, which holds a great place in our tradition dating back the Seljuks and the Ottoman Empire.
Highlighting the crucial role of today's youth in preserving and passing on the rich heritage of waqf culture to future generations, Hamza Cebeci emphasized the heightened sense of responsibility that comes with studying at a foundation school.
During the program, upon students' expression of their desire to volunteer at Darulaceze, Hamza Cebeci expressed his heartfelt appreciation and open-door policy to NÛN students in their foundation.
Organized to enlighten NÛN students on the essence of waqf culture and its current embodiment, the "Yesterday and Today of the Waqf Culture" conference concluded with the presentation of a traditional NÛN Logo keepsake and a commemorative photograph to Hamza Cebeci.
