National swimmer Beytullah Eroglu was at NUN Schools
National Paralympic Swimmer Beytullah Eroğlu was welcomed at our school within the scope of NUN Meetings. Eroğlu stated that he gained a lot of self-confidence in sports and he advised our students to treat people with disabilities in the way they treat to other friends as everyone is a candidate person with disabilities.
During the interview, the national paralympic swimmer, Beytullah Eroğlu, shared his personal career, life story and what he experienced on the road to success. Eroğlu said that he had great difficulties in starting school and said “A teacher named Ali Rıza accepted me to the school and I, who were reluctant to get out of the home before, was resurrected by the energy of life.” Upon the question about his work tempo, he answered “Achievements are not only accomplished by training. You have to internalise the training and put it into practice in daily life. Sometimes I spend 24 hours on training. My sleeping pattern should always be appropriate for a swimmer, so is my diet. These are all included in my training programme.”
Eroglu, underlining that the most important source of motivation for him was his family and stated that the struggle to wear the national team form is a great source of pride for him. He encouraged our students to work with his words “If you work hard and be self-confident, success will definitely come and find you. You don't always have to win, but you have to work as if you would always win.”
Our students were happy to come together with our national athlete. They realized that one can succeed by eliminating the obstacles through working and perseverance.
