ITURO Robot Olympics
Our high school and middle school students participated in the ITU Robot Olympics competition organized by Istanbul Technical University. They competed in the categories of “Line Follower: Road to Republic” and “Mini Sumo” with robots they designed hardware and software. After deciding on the category of the robot and designing the mechanisms that will perform the function, students enabled the creation of systems that will move this mechanism. At the end of the design phase, the "Mini Sumo" robot detected obstacles and finished its movement without hitting them; the "Line Follower" robot autonomously followed the path drawn for itself.
Our students succeeded in making it to the final stage and also had the opportunity to introduce their robots to students from different schools and to explain their construction stages.
