Andalusia Trip
The second stop during our 2023-2024 academic year Sefer-i NÛN Excursions was Andalusia. The region in which the knowledge and wisdom received from the Eastern Islamic World transformed into its own unique style of modesty, elegance, and refinement, known as the "Andalusian Style" of art and architecture, of which its socio-cultural fabric of the region is also profoundly influenced by this style.
We visited Andalusia with our students to experience its climate and place where people of all languages, colors, races, and identities find a place for themselves under the umbrella of Islam.
The trip began with a flight from Istanbul Airport to Malaga, and then we were transferred to Ronda. After the Ronda city tour, we went to Seville. The trip flourished with Plaza de España, Alhambra Palace, Albaicin, Granada city tour, Cordoba Mosque and city tour, Alcàzar Palace visit, and Malaga city tours. We are aware that our students need to learn and listen to developments in art, culture, history, philosophy, sociology, and science in Islamic geography. During this trip, our students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture, expand their consciousness, and learn through exploration and observation.
