ECO - Hiking

The 3rd Eco-Hiking event, which is traditionally held every year on the spring and autumn equinoxes, took place with great participation. The event, which was held on a 10-kilometer natural trail in the village of Mahmut Şevketpaşa in the Beykoz district, lasted about six hours. On this journey to the heart of nature, the students had the opportunity to observe nature in depth and experience the autumnal states of nature. The event, which the students attended with great excitement, motivation, and desire, was completed with very rich gains from history to geography, from biology to chemistry. The students learned about the importance of protecting nature and the environment alongside a holistic view of the ecosystem, a modular view of the parts that make up the ecosystem, examples of cooperation and contrast in the system, places where diversity is more or less, and the reasons for this, changes in nature-autumn signs (in the air, water, soil, and plants), vegetation layers, benefits of forests, protecting and strengthening forests, environmental cleaning.
