Hands-On Science Kitchen Workshop
Our two graders made traditional Ramadan Pide Bread in the Science Applications lesson. This way they brought science to the kitchen. They have experienced the scientific principles at every step while preparing the pide, starting from the fermentation of the dough to putting it in the oven. It was a delicious experience and a fun learning opportunity.
Thanks to this fun and delicious workshop activity, our students have discovered that science is everywhere, not only in textbooks: it is intertwined with our daily lives. The in-class study contributed to the development of students’ skills such as working together, problem-solving, and creative thinking, and to the development of their academic lives on a solid foundation.
