ACADEMICIANS IN THE CLASS- RELIGION AND ECONOMY- MELİKŞAH UTKU

Within the scope of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge course, we hosted Albaraka Türk Board Member and former General Manager Melikşah Utku in the Academicians in the Class program with our 10th grade students. Utku gave a speech on “Religion and Economy”. He explained the basic features of “Modern Economic Man” by making inquiries on economic ethics. After introducing the Capitalist and Socialist economic models, he pointed to the alternatives created by the Moral-Based Economy for these two models. Continuing his speech by explaining the basic features of the Islamic economy, which is a Moral-Based Economy, Utku ended his lecture by giving information about why the Islamic economy is a Moral-Based economy. After his speech, Utku answered the questions of our students who participated in the event and were well-informed.
