Spring Equinox and National Forest Week Events
Joyful events and activities are organized by our school’s Science Department, within the scope of National Forest Week and Spring Equinox. Through each activity, our students gained consciousness of forests, forestry, and nature. Grade 6 students explored the forests inside the school estate. The events aimed to encourage students to explore their surroundings and breathe in nature. Assuming different tasks, students discovered the richness of forests by learning about trees, seeds, and flowers and they gained awareness of the importance of conserving green areas. All middle school students brought seeds to life at the "Seed Awakening" and "Ancestral Seed Exchange" booths, initiating the plant’s life cycle. Following this, a nature-themed music recital was held with the support of the music department. Our students showcased their performance to the school community by singing nature-themed songs.
These activities provided a valuable opportunity for students to cultivate a love for nature, appreciate the beauty of nature and recognize the significance of environmental protection.
