2023-2024 Academic Year NÛN High School Commencement Ceremony
We bid farewell to this year's graduating class, who have successfully completed their educational journey in NÛN High School as they are opening a new chapter to their life stories in the academic life.
Our students, equipped with various academic and personal skills and experiences throughout their five years, took the first step of their new journeys.
The commencement ceremony started with Yücel Arzen's live performance of “Surda Bir Gedik Açtık” accompanying our graduates as they took their seats in the area. The program continued with a Holy Quran recitation, followed by the speeches from NÛN High School Principal Şule Özcan Çatak and Chair of the NÛN Foundation for Education and Culture Board, Dr. Esra Albayrak. Videos prepared with contributions from parents, the NÛN Family, and NÛN Schools Alumni Association were also presented throughout the program.
Attending the graduation ceremony, President Erdogan stated in his speech, “10 years ago, we closely witnessed the day-by-day growth and maturation of NÛN Schools, which were founded with the aim of ‘raising good people’ attached to national spiritual values, just like our offspring. At this established institution, adopting a unique approach to education that respects the disposition of each student, I see that students are preparing for life with dual wings. Here, generations are raised that hold their spiritual values tight, while at the same time have integrity of knowledge, will, feelings, and actions knowing how to inquire.”
He added: “‘One must have a stance, a sight, an understanding, a cause.’ Because it's not just breath nor a beating heart make a person feel alive. We feel alive if we have put ourselves forward for a cause and when we fight for the sake of it. Let it be your dreams that you create for yourself, for Türkiye, for the Ummah, for humanity. As I always say; ‘To run for the things you love never tires.’ Have ideals that will not make you feel tired, that will keep you awake even at night, and that will make you want to go further as you run.” After his speech, President Erdogan presented Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Karaman, his teacher, to the stage to give his guiding speech to the young.
Living a life that exemplifies tolerance, kindness, dignity, and scientific seriousness for a century, Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Karaman inspired our students with his keynote speech.
Our students, who will remain valuable members of NÛN Family have made us proud with their achievements for five years. Their achievements in projects and competitions, both domestically and internationally, have always embodied the NÛN Values.
At NÛN Schools, we educate our students centering their abilities by respecting the unique qualities each one of them carries throughout their educational adventures. They, on the other hand, with their competition participation, achievements, Turkish degrees obtained they have achieved in our country, and most importantly, their goals of being “good people,” allow us to look forward to the future with hope.
Congratulations to our students, whom we have sent to different parts of the world as valuable, humane, conscientious and fair individuals who will benefit their country and the world. We have full faith that they will brighten the lives they benefit as successful people with human values. May their graduation pave new paths to all of them to better the world.
