Values Education
As NÛN Schools, our systematized goal in values education is to ensure that students graduating from our schools are equipped with religious and national values, strong self-perception, concerned about global problems, engaged in communication within the framework of love and, respect, responsibility, justice, compassion and decency.
In NÛN Schools, values education is integrated into general lesson plans, alongside Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge and Qur’an lessons. In Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge courses, students are provided with a perspective that can build all intellectual and practical, cultural, social, political, economic, and ecological areas of life by considering tawhid-based values, such as wisdom, courage, decency, and justice.
Within this scope, our curriculum materials are designed based on a holistic values education framework that considers both universal Islamic ethics and ergo-human nature and is prepared according to the idea of keeping our values alive. In case of difficulties in acquiring any value, classroom teachers, psychological counselors, and branch teachers collaborate and work on special methods suitable for students’ nature and interests. During these processes, parents are regularly kept informed and their participation and support is considered to be an important aspect during the process.
A mosque is located on our campus and in every school building masjids are designed where students pray in congregation. The three blessed months of Rajab, Shaban, and Ramadan, and the holy nights are celebrated in ways that students adopt in different cultures, and an inclusive environment is provided.
