Personal Exhibitions
We pave the way for our students to display their artistic skills and believe in themselves in visual arts. Through personal exhibitions we let them gain confidence, social skills and express themselves with their art. We aim for our students to express themselves and to convey their dreams and thoughts through art, with personal exhibitions of painting, ceramics and sculpting.
Thus we attach importance to understand the meaning and purpose of personal exhibitions. For this, we share the purpose of the exhibitions and the steps to be followed in the preparation process with our students and parents at the beginning of the year. Our students, who want to express themselves in art branches such as painting, calligraphy, miniature, marbling, ceramics or sculpture, determine a theme and produce a sufficient number of works. During the production process, they receive feedback by sharing their works with their visual arts teachers. After artworks are completed, they are approved by the Personal Exhibition Selection Committee. Students tag the artworks and make them ready them for the exhibition. As the host of the exhibition, our students develop their self-management skills while following the preparation process.
The exhibitions are announced with posters designed for the student. The opening of the personal exhibition is attended by our school leaders, the student's family, teachers and classmates. At the opening of the exhibition, the speeches of the principles and the ribbon cutting take place, after which the works exhibited in the foyer area are examined. While our students receive treats, they give feedback to the exhibitors.
It is observed that the comments and criticisms of the visitors have a positive effect on the future works of our student by giving them a different perspective on their work. It is observed that visitors gain analyzing and feedback-giving skills. Students are prepared for professional life thanks to this safe environment where they give feedback to each other respectfully.
Personal Exhibitions held at our school contribute to the artistic development of our students and increase the interest of the school community in art.
