International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP)
In NÛN Primary School, an enriched curriculum, which includes different education methods and prepared by our teachers considering the age groups of students, is applied. In the center, our students are raised as individuals who are inquirer, knowledgeable, thinker, communicator, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-taker, balanced and reflective. These attributes represent a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond intellectual development and academic success.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme, which is one of the education models most suitable for the original curriculum content of NÛN Schools, is implemented at all our levels. The IB is a global education system that aims to train young people who will make the world a better and more peaceful place with skills appropriate to the needs of the 21st century, as well as offering internationally recognized diplomas. Our school, which implements the Primary Years Programme (PYP), which appeals to primary school students of the system, has taken its place in the IB World Schools list as of March 2017.
While adopting current issues in the programs we choose due to its compliance with our establishment philosophy, it also offers a framework that does not distance itself from tradition and nature. Through this system, we aim to raise world citizens who are self-aware, committed to their values, and have intercultural understanding and respect.
We believe that every child is unique. The way each child receives, interprets and transforms information is unique. For this reason, since the day we were founded, we personalize our education plan by respecting each student's own learning adventure and interests, talents and needs. With our "differentiation" and "inclusion" applications, we reinforce the strengths of our students and support their weaknesses.
Thanks to the one-on-one work with differentiation teachers, our students continue their learning experiences in a way that makes them feel much more comfortable and happier.
Our trips, which are planned in accordance with the curriculum at the beginning of each academic year, are a source of inspiration and information for our students so that they can get to know the universe closely and discover our civilization from its source. Students have the opportunity to get to know the historical places visited and observe and interpret the works of different cultures in exhibitions and museums.
In addition, our primary school students, who can benefit from NÛN Schools campus facilities, develop both their individual and physical potentials with workshops and clubs, sports hours and nature activities included in our authentic curriculum.
