Child Protection And Safety

What is Child Protection and Safety for NÛN Schools?

Child Protection and Safety is protecting children from all kinds of physical, mental or emotional harm and taking the necessary measures against these harms. To approach every aspect and detail related to the child with extreme sensitivity and consciousness. It covers a fairly wide range from health to safety, from secure recruitment to online security. Child Protection and Safety means putting the rights and needs of children at the center of the school's mission and keeping their safety and well-being at the forefront.

At NÛN Schools, we affirm the commitment to the safety and well-being of everyone and the NÛN School’s community members. NÛN's Child Protection and Security Policy is issued for this purpose. It summarizes the obligations of our school to create a stable and safe environment in which every child's right is protected against neglect, harm, bullying and abuse. In this context:

The safety and well-being of students are our top priority, and we ensure the protection of their personal information through our strong principles.

There are clearly defined roles and responsibilities of staff, students, parents/guardians, volunteers, and other stakeholders that are involved in safeguarding, such as reporting concerns and maintaining confidentiality.

Risk assessments and thorough background checks are conducted for all employees working with children to minimize potential risks.

In case of any potential physical injuries or mistreatments, we will take immediate action with all-inclusive, preventive, protective measures by partaking in weekly safeguarding walks on and around the campus with our Child Protection and Safeguarding Team.

We raise awareness among stakeholders by conducting workshops and parent education sessions on issues related to Child Protection Rules and teaching relevant information to students about their rights.
